The Art of the Edit: Bringing your Images to Life

Join Daniel Gregory for a full-day, hands-on workshop designed to help you process your images faster, smarter, and with more creative control. Whether you’re new to editing or ready to refine your approach, this session is built around real editing, practical techniques, and personalized feedback.
This workshop is ideal for photographers of all levels—beginners looking to build a solid foundation and experienced shooters aiming to refine their editing approach. Plan to attend both sessions or just one (fee is the same). Feel free to bring a laptop to follow along but this is not a requirement. If you want to share your images in the afternoon session please bring them on a thumb drive or external hard drive.
2 sessions:
Morning:
- Introduction to a Professional Post-Processing Workflow
Start with a clear, step-by-step overview of best practices in photo editing. Learn how to setup your images with a consistent workflow in Lightroom, Photoshop or other editing program. Focusing on how to apply non-destructive editing techniques that save time and preserve image quality. We’ll cover essential workflows from global editing to final export or print.
- Mastering Masking in Lightroom
Take your editing to the next level with a deep dive into Lightroom’s masking tools. Explore how to use selective adjustments with precision whether you're enhancing skies, balancing exposure, or isolating subjects. Learn how to create and refine luminance, color, and various other masks using both automatic and manual techniques. This session will empower you to make targeted, nuanced edits that bring your photos to life.
Afternoon:
- Live Help Desk & Hands-On Editing
Bring your own photos and get real-time, feedback and processing ideas. This interactive session allows you to see how to approach your own editing challenges while receiving personalized guidance. Whether you're struggling with exposure, color balance, or masking, we will help you troubleshoot and improve your skills in real time.
