DESCRIPTION:Peter specializes in the art of visual storytelling and fine art landscapes. President Jimmy Carter commented “Peter Marbach’s exquisite imagery reminds us of the simple joys of connecting with the land and the importance of preserving precious sites for generations to come.” \nHe resides in the Columbia River Gorge and is an avid hiker and backpacker. He has hiked the Pacific Crest trail\, the Appalachian trail and a 600 mile trek across England and Scotland. He plans his days so he’s at the right place\, with the right light to photograph his scenic fine art photography. \nSome of Peter’s clients include National Geographic\, sunset Magazine\, Country\, Alaska Airlines\, USDA\, Travel Oregon and more. He is also is dedicated to sharing his photographic and biological knowledge with other photographers through his seminars and writing. \nLepp's images have appeared in some of the world's most widely viewed venues and on the covers of many books and magazines. He was chosen by Canon USA as one of the first members of its Explorers of Light program\, which features the industry's most influential photographers. His stock and assignment photography is represented by Getty\, Corbis\, AgStock\, and Photo Researchers. \nFor the January Program George will focus on Animal Portraits where he'll discuss the three types\, techniques\, and equipment needed. \nAs a follow up to his program\, the March theme for submissions will be Animal Portraits and George will be the critiquer.

SUMMARY:Cory O'Neil is our presenter for November 18th Program Night
DESCRIPTION:Cory was a member of our camera club for years.  Now with his full schedule he critiques for us in the month of November.  His outstanding images and knowledge of post processing has been enlightening to many of us. He will talk us through his post processing regime and give us his experience of working with enhancing images. \nCory worked as a guide for an adventure youth camp in the High Sierra which gave him a profound appreciation for wilderness\, and the life changing moments that are created by simply spending  time in a world mostly unchanged by the human hand. Like so many others\, he found himself moved and challenged in ways that were hard to describe\, and from these moments\, a life-long passion for wild areas--and the preservation of those areas--was born. This love of wilderness has remained a central part of who he is as a person for almost three decades. In that time\, he’s found that photography has provided a means to share some of what he experiences with others. \nPerhaps unconventionally\, he shares an image only if it communicates the deepest emotions of the moment. Often he returns many times to a single location in order to capture “the” image\, at the sacrifice of visiting many places briefly. And so\, visitors won’t find his gallery packed full of thousands of images from hundreds of locations. Instead\, they will find fewer images\, each unique in its own beauty\, capturing the essence of the place it was taken at the very finest moment.

Sullivan is the author of 22 books and numerous articles about Oregon\, including a "Oregon Trails" feature column for the Eugene Register-Guard \n  \nIn 1985 Sullivan set out to investigate Oregon's wilderness on a 1\,361-mile solo backpacking trek from the state's westernmost shore at Cape Blanco to Oregon's easternmost point in Hells Canyon.
